Wooden Frame Shelters

Metal Frame Shelters

Interiors

On this project, First Peak Contracting did work starting with the foundation of this home addition. We saw the project to the very end under the general/project manager. First Peak Contracting was the go to for the foundation, framing, insulation, windows, high-end finishing, stairs, railing, trim base boards and the ceiling wood detail. Under our lead carpenter, First Peak Contracting’s attention to detail and precision ensured the project turned out exactly as the client wanted.

Timberframe

The prominent Timberframe on the Exterior of the Quest University Residences is an unmistakable example of quality West Coast Architecture. First Peak Contracting was the key labour source for this job. We ensured the that everything from Crane Rentals to Material Deliveries went smoothly.

Shelters

The Delview Shelter was a tender First Peak Contracting won from the City Of Delta. As a smaller, more nimble company, we can often put in a more competitive quote and be very responsive to the needs of the client. Ryan took time to understand all requirements outlined in the contract -which was very detailed. While we made sure to do our best to adhere to all expectations, we were also able to use Ryan’s expertise to advise on materials such as the best finishes for durability. First Peak Contracting’s attention to detail ensured we met the budget and timelines and delivered this project which integrated metal framing & Timberframe into a great looking shelter that will be a comfortable gathering place for decades to come.

In the summer of 2021, First Peak Contracting completed the Shelter Point Gathering Structure on Texada Island. The project challenges included a remote work site, and building a structure that would last through all of the seasons. As the location was a known archeological site, First Peak Contracting worked with Aquilla Archeology and the Tla'amin Nation to monitor the excavation work.

“Ryan with First Peak Contracting Ltd. instilled great confidence with his professionalism and efficiency. His vision, forethought and skills were highly influential in helping us create a stunning park gathering structure that is receiving rave reviews.”-Nancy Schmeister - qathet Regional District

Exteriors

This job was a challenge. Uneven terrain, lots of landings, and stairs that had to be planned and fit together perfectly. Thankfully, Ryan was able to use his expertise to 3D model engineering drawings and ensure that everything from footings to stair treads fit together perfectly. On a project like this, proper design and planning can lead to significant cost savings and a great-looking, durable final product that will stand up to years of everything the weather gods of Whistler will throw at it.
